My Morning Chlorophyll

Each morning when you wake, your body has spent the evening rejuvenating and detoxing from the day before. Common sense: drink a ton of water as soon as you wake up, before you eat any food. This flushes all the toxins from your body instead of having them reincorporated, and you can begin your day clear headed and toxin free. At least two 8 ounce glasses. BUT, if you want to step it up a notch, here is what I have been doing and it has had so many immediate benefits that I am forced to write about it here.

1 Large drinking bottle (I use a glass bottle because plastic is extremely toxic, so what would be the point)

2 shots of Liquid Chlorophyll

2 shots Aloe

Fill the rest of the bottle with water and shake well

This concoction tastes amazing, and has more perks than you think. Chlorophyll’s most marvelous and amazing benefit it comes from the fact that its molecular structure is almost identical to hemoglobin except for the center atom. In hemoglobin this is iron, whereas in chlorophyll it is magnesium. This means that when ingested, liquid chlorophyll can actually help to do the job of hemoglobin (hemoglobin is so vital to the health of our blood – in fact, blood is approx 75% hemoglobin). It helps to rebuild and replenish our red blood cells, boosting our energy and increasing our well being almost instantly.

Anti Carcinogenic: Chlorophyll protects against a whole host of carcinogens found in fungus-laden foods such as nuts and grains, the toxins from cooked meats, and air-borne carcinogens (from pollution). It blocks the metabolism in the body of harmful chemicals known as pro-carcinogens that damage DNA.

Antioxidant & Anti-inflammatory: containing high levels of the vitamins A, C and E, liquid chlorophyll has strong antioxidant capacity and has also been found to help reduce inflammation.

Chelation of Heavy Metals: chlorophyll is one of the most important chelates in nature. It’s ability to bind to and remove toxic heavy metals such as mercury makes it an extremely powerful healer.

Natural Deodorant: This one is a real bonus and really works! Chlorophyll has a double-action remedy for bad breath and also fights body odor from the inside. Firstly, as a deodorizer, it will eliminate odors in the mouth and throat, but secondly (and more importantly) it promotes a healthy digestive tract.

Contains vitamin K, C, folic acid, iron, calcium, protein: which are all also essential in building and repairing red blood cells and boosting our immune system.

As for the Aloe, drinking aloe vera juice is the ultimate healthy habit, as it seemingly aides in weight loss, digestion, immune function, and even ‘easing general discomfort’ if you have any stomach issues at all. I know girls who have always had upset stomachs and this is their cure.

In short, this is a power drink easy to make (I mean, you just pour some water and splash these ingredients in, how easy can it be?) and an amazingly powerful way to flush your body each morning and fill it with liquid gold.

    • Yes, it’s totally fine during pregnancy! My doctor actually recommended I take some in my last pregnancy so it must be beneficial for baby too. If you can stand it, wheatgrass is also great during pregnancy. A one ounce shot provides nutrients equalling 7 pounds of vegetables! A lot of people can’t handle the taste though…. Chlorophyll is much easier to drink.

      Good luck!
